Public Debt of the Republic of Belarus as of February 1, 2020
As of February 1, 2020 public debt amounted to 45.1 billion rubles and increased by 0.3 billion rubles or 0.6% from the beginning of the 2020.
External public debt amounted to 16.9 billion USD as of February 1, 2020 and decreased by 0.2 billion USD or 1.2% from the beginning of the year (taking into account exchange rate differences).
In January 2020 external public debt disbursements were made in the amount of 69.6 million USD in equivalent of which:
- 66.7 million USD – Russian government and banks loans;
- 2.4 million USD – International Bank for Reconstruction and Development loans;
- 0.5 million USD – European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
External debt redemption in January 2020 totaled 259.9 million USD of which:
- 167.7 million USD – Banks of China loans;
- 92.2 million USD – Russian government loans.
Domestic public debt amounted to 8.9 billion rubles as of February 1, 2020 and increased by 0.1 billion rubles or 1.4% from the beginning of the year (taking into account exchange rate differences).
Placement of domestic foreign currency government bonds for legal entities and individuals amounted to 78.3 million USD in equivalent in January 2020. Redemption of foreign currency government bonds for legal entities and individuals amounted to 56.3 million in equivalent.
