On the fulfillment of obligations under Eurobonds of the Republic of Belarus Belarus-2026 and Belarus-2031 on February 24, 2023

On February 24, 2023, the next coupon payments have been paid on Eurobonds of the Republic of Belarus Belarus-2026 in the amount of USD 14.7 million in equivalent and Belarus-2031 in the amount of USD 23.9 million in equivalent.

The funds have been credited in full to a separate bank account opened in JSC “ASB Belarusbank”, in accordance with Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus and the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus dated April 6, 2022 No. 212/10 "On Temporary Measures for the Fulfillment of External State Debt Obligations". Access to the account is provided for the Paying agent established by the issuance documentation – Citibank N.A. London Branch.

Holders of Eurobonds are also entitled to receive payments from the specified account upon presentation of the relevant application and verification provided for by Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus and the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus dated September 26, 2022 No. 643/20 "On Special Transactions with Government Securities".

The Ministry of Finance reminds that the specified procedure for the fulfillment of obligations under Eurobonds is applied due to the existing sanctions restrictions, including the National Bank as a financial agent of the Government of the Republic of Belarus, as well as the continued inability of Western infrastructure to ensure that payments are made to all holders of Eurobonds.
