Public Debt of the Republic of Belarus as of November 1, 2021
As of November 1, 2021 public debt amounted to 55.3 billion rubles and decreased by 2.5 billion rubles or 4.3% from the beginning of the 2021.
External public debt amounted to 18.3 billion USD as of November 1, 2021 and decreased by 0.3 billion USD or 1.6% from the beginning of the year (taking into account exchange rate differences).
In January-October 2021 external public debt disbursements were made in the amount of 1 065.5 million USD in equivalent of which:
- 857.1 million USD – Russian government loans;
- 163.5 million USD – International Bank for Reconstruction and Development loans;
- 20 million USD – OPEC Fund for International Development;
- 14.9 million USD – Export-Import Bank of China loans;
- 10.0 million USD – European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and Nordic Investment Bank loans.
External debt redemption in January-October 2021 totaled 1 451.1 million USD of which:
- 638.8 million USD – Russian government and banks loans;
- 406.9 million USD – Banks of China loans;
- 276.6 million USD – Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development loans;
- 121.6 million USD – International Bank for Reconstruction and Development loans;
- 6.5 million USD – European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and Nordic Investment Bank loans;
- 0.7 million USD – USA Commodity Credit Corporation loans.
Domestic public debt amounted to 11.0 billion rubles as of November 1, 2021 and increased by 1.2 billion rubles or 11.8% from the beginning of the year (taking into account exchange rate differences).
Placement of domestic foreign currency and local currency government bonds for legal entities and individuals amounted to 937.5 million USD in equivalent and 191.0 million rubles in January-October 2021. Redemption of foreign currency and local currency government bonds for legal entities and individuals amounted to 198.9 million USD and 145.0 million rubles.
