Public Debt of the Republic of Belarus as of March 1, 2021
As of March 1, 2021 public debt amounted to 59.5 billion rubles and increased by 1.7 billion rubles or 2.9% from the beginning of the 2021.
External public debt amounted to 18.3 billion USD as of March 1, 2021 and decreased by 0.3 billion USD or 1.4% from the beginning of the year (taking into account exchange rate differences).
In January-February 2021 external public debt disbursements were made in the amount of 129.2 million USD in equivalent of which:
- 114.0 million USD – Russian government loan;
- 15.2 million USD – International Bank for Reconstruction and Development loans and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
External debt redemption in January-February 2021 totaled 386.4 million USD of which:
- 188.4 million USD – Russian government loans;
- 186.2 million USD – Banks of China loans;
- 11.8 million USD – International Bank for Reconstruction and Development loans.
Domestic public debt amounted to 11.7 billion rubles as of March 1, 2021 and increased by 1.9 billion rubles or 18.9% from the beginning of the year (taking into account exchange rate differences).
Placement of domestic foreign currency government bonds for legal entities and individuals amounted to 695.0 million USD in January-February 2021. Redemption of government bonds was not executed in January-February 2021.
