Public Debt of the Republic of Belarus
As of December 1, 2018 public debt amounted to 45,6 billion rubles and increased by 3.4 billion rubles or 8.1% from the beginning of the 2018.
External public debt amounted to 16.8 billion USD as of December 1, 2018 and increased by 70.3 million USD or 0.4% from the beginning of the 2018 (taking into account exchange rate differences).
In January- November 2018 external public debt disbursements were made in the amount of 2 112.4 million USD of which:
- 797.5 million USD – Russian government and banks loans;
- 600.0 million USD – Eurobonds;
- 361.3 million USD – Chinese banks loans;
- 200.0 million USD – Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development loans;
- 138.5 million USD – International Bank for Reconstruction and Development loans;
- 15.1 million USD – European Bank for Reconstruction and Development loans and Nordic Investment Bank loans.
External debt redemption for this period totaled 1 883.1 million USD of which:
- 800.0 million USD – Eurobonds;
- 374.9 million USD – Chinese banks loans;
- 374.3 million USD – Russian government loans;
- 264.8 million USD – Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development loans;
- 65.4 million USD – International Bank for Reconstruction and Development loans;
- 2.7 million USD – USA Commodity Credit Corporation loans;
- 1.0 million USD – European Bank for Reconstruction and Development loans and Nordic Investment Bank loans.
Domestic public debt amounted to 9.7 billion rubles as of December 1, 2018 and increased by 489.5 million rubles or 5.3% from the beginning of the year (taking into account exchange rate differences).
Placement of domestic foreign currency government bonds for legal entities and individuals amounted to 338.3 million USD for January- November of 2018. Redemption of foreign currency and local currency government bonds for legal entities and individuals amounted to 309.8 million USD and 26.1 million rubles.
