Public Debt of the Republic of Belarus as of April 1, 2022

As of April 1, 2022 public debt amounted to 65.9 billion rubles and increased by 7.7 billion rubles or 13.1% from the beginning of the 2022.

External public debt amounted to 17.8 billion USD as of April 1, 2022 and decreased by 0.5 billion USD or 2.6% from the beginning of the year (taking into account exchange rate differences).

In January-March 2022 external public debt disbursements were made in the amount of 201.8 million USD, external debt redemption – 435.5 million USD.

Domestic public debt amounted to 13.1 billion rubles as of April 1, 2022 and increased by 1.3 billion rubles or 10.9% from the beginning of the year (taking into account exchange rate differences).

In January-March 2022 redemption of foreign currency and local currency government bonds for legal entities and individuals amounted to 95.1 million USD. There was no placement of government bonds.
