Public Debt of the Republic of Belarus as of February 1, 202

As of February 1, 2021 public debt amounted to 59.7 billion rubles and increased by 1.9 billion rubles or 3.3% from the beginning of the 2021.

External public debt amounted to 18.3 billion USD as of February 1, 2021 and decreased by 0.3 billion USD or 1.4% from the beginning of the year (taking into account exchange rate differences).

In January 2021 external public debt disbursements were made in the amount of 35.7 million USD in equivalent of which:
- 25.5 million USD – Russian government loan;
- 10.2 million USD – International Bank for Reconstruction and Development loans.

External debt redemption in January 2021 totaled 270.1 million USD of which:
- 84.0 million USD – Russian government loans;
- 186.1 million USD – Banks of China loans.

Domestic public debt amounted to 11.6 billion rubles as of February 1, 2021 and increased by 1.8 billion rubles or 17.7% from the beginning of the year (taking into account exchange rate differences).

Placement of domestic foreign currency government bonds for legal entities and individuals amounted to 625.9 million USD in January 2021.
